About Free Systems.

Free Systems is a research lab dedicated to building, testing, and breaking the prototypes that will define whether AI-powered governance preserves human liberty or quietly extinguishes it.

The work is organized into three layers — Information, Representation, and Governance — that build on each other to address the full stack of challenges that arise when AI becomes a political actor.

The Approach

All code, data, and analysis are shared publicly through the Free Systems Substack.

The design choices being made right now — in AI labs, corporate boardrooms, and regulatory agencies — will shape the relationship between humans and AI governance for decades. The best way to influence those choices is to build concrete prototypes, demonstrate what works and what fails, and make the research available to everyone.
