About Free Systems.

Can we truly build political superintelligence? Free Systems measures whether AI systems can be trusted with power.

We exist to produce the empirical evidence that will shape how AI interacts with democratic governance — from model training, to platform policy, to constitutional design.

To do this, we build evals, prototypes, and tools that test real systems against real political conditions. Our work spans prediction markets, legislative simulations, authoritarian stress-tests, political bias measurements, and more.

Free Systems is led by Professor Andy Hall and based at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Hoover Institution.
